Welcome!
From From sunny warm Amazon Jungle to cold and gray Toronto)) But today we are gonna visit the place, which is 120km from Toronto - and it is Niagara Falls!
And, as usual with me, this is not gonna be a usual trip to Niagara, because I chose one of the worst days to go there))) So, let's drive!
This winter in Canada was cold..., very cold, and thanks to that we have this opportunity now - to see the frozen falls, to plat with the mountains of snow... to experience the real winter, and all the beauty of it.
Well, it was a weekend, a gray day, and the snow storm was coming to Toronto area. The forecast promised about 15-20cm of snow, which is a lot for this area...
So, not waiting anymore, I took my camera bag, car key - the road was waiting! and the Adventures too!
The snow fall caught me on approximal at a half way to Niagara. Fortunately for me there were not many crazy ppl, like me, who had desire to drive in this kind of condition, so the road was almost empty.

By the time I got to the Niagara, it was heave snow already. I parked my car and started to move towards the Falls. What I saw there was totally, what I wasn't expecting - because of the snowfall I barely could see the Fall at all!!! Ouch! That is a surprise! I hoping to take a cool pictures and videos of the frozen Niagara river and the Falls, but, only what I could see on a horizon - it was the white wall from the snow... And it wasn't cold outside, so the snow was wet..., and I was getting wet too...))

Anyway, I took the couple of pictures and videos, with a hope to extract from the in a post production editing..., and moved forward. Well, since I'm here now, I'm definitely gonna explore this place, and the weather is not gonna stop me)).
You know, actually, there were some benefits from this weather - there were not many people at the place. And, truly, that was the first time, when I saw this place so empty.

By the way, the first waterfall was almost frozen, which was pretty cool, but, unfortunately, because of the weather conditions I barely could see it, and the colures of that picture wasn't very impressive... But, fortunately for me the snowfall was calming down, and soon the Falls started to be more less visible.

Yup, the snowfall was coming down, by the more closer to the waterfall I got... In a summer time there is always the rain from the falls at one particular place. And you can see a rainbow there))) Now, there wasn't any rainbow... only the rain with the snow...)) So, by the time I've reached the fall, I was totally wet)))

But, that didn't bother me anymore, because, it's only clothe, it can dry out later, and I'm also not made from a paper, I'll survive... but emotions, felling from what was waiting for me ahead will stay forever!
And here it is - Niagara Falls!

And, of course, the main falls wasn't frozen at all. And so far it wasn't even recorded, that the main falls was frozen at all. There were times, when the smaller falls was completely frozen with Niagara River. For example let's take the year 1911. But even than the winter's extreme cold couldn't stop the power of the water of the main falls.

And, now, to be there, so this mighty stream... I could literary feel the power, the power of Mother Nature. When you are so close, you see the river, you see the Falls, and it's non stoppable force, and you feel like you are the part of it...
So, I put my camera away, and just... put all my attention to the water... I could see the river flowing, the pieces of the ice following the stream and, reaching the edge, falling down from 57 meters (188 feet) heights. The water below was creating an incredible mist... and the colures of the river was beautiful... The Ice around the falls, the frozen river below created magnificent pictures and sculptures... I was totally there, totally connected to this beauty...
And it was Amazing!

It was time to go home... My fingers were frozen, my clothe was wet, but... but I got what I was came here for... Emotions, feelings, memories... And that's, like this natural beauty, is gonna stay with me forever ...
